About Harmony Oaks Recovery Center
Harmony Oaks Recovery Center provides a compassionate sanctuary in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for adults struggling with addiction and mental health. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission and is LegitScript certified. You’ll receive evidence based treatment for substance use disorders, mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders.
Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment Options
They offer outpatient detoxification that features medication assisted withdrawal. I like that they use FDA approved medications that include Suboxone, buprenorphine or naltrexone to ensure your safe withdrawal management.
Residential treatment at their Summit campus will provide inpatient detoxification and mental health stabilization. You will have 24/7 medical supervision, thorough psychiatric evaluations and individually tailored treatment plans.
Their partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides 20-30 hours of weekly therapy. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers nine to 15 hours of weekly therapy and blends structured support with flexibility.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
I like that they offer specialized dual diagnosis programs. These programs address complex conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders and personality disorders through individual, group and family therapy sessions. They use evidence based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and trauma focused counseling.
You will also be able to receive relapse prevention strategies, 12 Step facilitation, nutritional counseling and life skills training. Their aftercare program includes alumni support and community resource connections.
Family-Friendly Activities
I appreciate that there are several sights nearby where you can relax, connect with nature, reflect on your recovery or pursue new sober interests. A short drive away from the center is Lookout Mountain. You’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking views and several attractions. One of the attractions you can enjoy is Rock City Gardens. You will have the opportunity to enjoy unique rock formations. At nearby Ruby Falls you can take a guided tour underground to visit a stunning underground waterfall.
Another attraction is the Incline Railway. It’s one of the steepest passenger railways. Once you are at the top of the mountain, you will be able to view multiple states at the same time.
Addiction Treatment Programs
Dual Diagnosis
It’s common to have both a mental health disorder and substance use problems. The right rehab in Tennessee can treat both issues. In dual diagnosis programs, the activities, peer support, and counseling are tailored to the unique needs of those with mental health concerns. This may include additional therapy, medication, or peer support.
Insurance Coverage
Private insurance
In Tennessee, using private insurance to pay for rehab can allow you to get the care you need. You’ll want to find a treatment center that’s in-network with your coverage and contact the insurer to find out details about coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
Self-pay options
There are many payment options for rehab in Tennessee, including self-pay. This option, also known as private pay, allows you to write a check, use a medical loan, or send money to the center electronically. The fee structure may vary depending on the type of care.
Levels of Care
- 1
Detox Treatment
Each rehab in Tennessee is unique, but most of them start with detox. Detox gets you ready to start building new habits, creating healthy relationships, and learn health coping strategies and other essential life skills.
- 2
Outpatient Rehab
For many people, it’s important to be able to work and attend school during treatment, and outpatient treatment in Tennessee gives you that opportunity. During outpatient treatment, clients have independence outside of sessions, allowing them to work, attend school, and practice their new habits in real-world situations.
- 3
Aftercare Support
Having long-term support and encouragement is vital for long-term recovery, and aftercare in Tennessee provides those resources. A strong aftercare program can include ongoing counseling, education and employment support, housing services, and connections to community resources.
- 4
Partial Hospitalization Program
There are multiple options for addiction treatment in Tennessee. Partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) allow you to live at home or in sober living while receiving intensive treatment. PHPs include multiple approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and holistic therapy options.
Therapies
Group Therapy
Talking about what we’re going through is an important way to heal, and group therapy in Tennessee gives you that opportunity. In rehab, group therapy is only one of the elements of treatment, along with activities, peer support, individual counseling, relapse prevention, and more. Together, all these methods support you in establishing long-term recovery.
Individual Therapy
If you struggle with addiction in Tennessee, it’s common to feel like no one understands you. Individual therapy can help you find professional support. Substance use treatment includes detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient care, and individual therapy may be a part of each of these stages. The goal is to help clients address the roots of addiction, develop motivation to change, and create new habits for a substance-free life.
